Melissa - Digital Paint Project

This was my first assignment in my Digital Imaging class - to digitally repaint a portrait.  I chose a picture of my mom when she was a teenager.  I had a great time blending the skin tones to look soft and light.  The hair however was much harder since it required a textured look.  After layers and layers of different brushes and colors, the hair came finally came together to bring the entire portrait to life!
